Modern Medieval A-Line with embroidered overdress of Austrian georgette.
Kathy, Cowes, Isle of Wight. ~ 10th February, 2000
Above: Ready for her big day. Kathy, wearing her beautiful bespoke wedding gown and chiffon veil. The look is completed with an antique type tiara and a handtied bunch of fragrant fresh spring flowers, foliage and herbs.
Above: Here is a close-up showing the Brides detailed tiara and natural make up. Ahh!
Above and Above Right: In these photos you will see the embroidery on the overdress of Austrian georgette, and the 'A' line shape of the flowing skirt. This shape of skirt falls in a wonderful way around the body, but a beautiful shape and any necessary support is still provided by the use of a fully boned and corsetted bodice. The undergown was of Italian satin. This Bride chose to team her ivory gown with ivory, soft cream and soft gold flowers, natural wood materials and foliage in the Bridal bouquet.
Above and Right: Looking calm and thoughtful, Kathy poses for a few shots before leaving her house to be married. In this photo you will see the shape of the neckline and the sleeves, both inspired by the medieval era. However, the 'A' line under-gown and channel boning give this gown modern comfort and a contemporary feel.
