Many other Island venues offer wedding packages for your reception.
The Isle of Wight is one of the UK's most popular holiday destinations, with
100's of hotels and other types of accommodation available, it is a fantastic
location for your UK wedding.

To arrange a wedding at approved premises, you must first contact the venue
to make provisional arrangements, and then contact the Register Office of the
district in which the venue is located to ensure that Registration Officers can
attend the wedding on the date of your choice.
You will have to give Notice of Marriage in the District (s) you each live,
and Marriage Authority to the Superintendent Registrar in the District where
you are getting married. So....
Before you can marry in an approved premises, you must give notice of your
intention to marry. You can give notice in two ways; by ' Certificate without
Licence' or by 'Certificate and Licence'.
You cannot give more than twelve months notice. A fee will be charged for
giving notice, and details are available from the Register Office.
|
Certificate Without Licence.
- You must have both lived in any district in England or Wales for the seven
days before the date you give notice of your marriage. It does not matter if
either of you move to a different address after the notice(s) have been given.
- Notice must be given in the district(s) where you both reside. If the
district in which you intend to marry is not one of these, then you should
contact the Register Office in that district before giving notice in
your own district(s).
- After you have given notice, you must wait at least twenty-two (22) days
whilst the notice is publicly displayed. You can then collect the 'authority',
the legal document which allows your marriage to proceed.
- You must get married within twelve (12) months of the date you first gave
notice.
|
- You or the person you are marrying must have lived in a district in England
or Wales for fifteen (15) days before the date you give notice. The other
person needs to be resident of, or be in England or Wales on the day that the
notice is given.
- You only have to give one notice, in the district where one of you have
lived for at least fifteen (15) days so it does not matter if one of you lives
in a different district.
- With this type of notice, the information is not displayed, and you can
collect the authority (the licence) (and get married if you wish) one (1) clear
day later.
- It is your responsibility to apply for, and then deliver this 'authority'
to the Superintendent Registrar of the marriage district.
